Napoleon proclaims the Cisalpine Republic

With every new Edition or Fashion Line, we want to present a different aspect of the mighty Emperor Napoleon

ART
EMPIRE
REVOLUTION

Our first three editions focus on crucial aspects of Napoleon's journey. In our Malmaison Edition, we pay tribute to the fact that Napoleon is one of the most frequently depicted figures in history. Some of the most iconic portraits remain widely recognized today. Among these, the "Napoleon Crossing the Alps" motif holds special significance, and we have chosen the Malmaison Version as the foundation for many of our products.

The French Empire that he established developed its own distinctive iconography, featuring a range of symbols, coat of arms, and emblems, each with its own unique aesthetic. Napoleon himself popularized the letter "N" as a symbol, a design still visible on many Parisian streets today. This inspired our Empire Edition.

However, it's essential not to forget that this Empire emerged from a Revolution, often considered one of the most significant revolutions in history. Napoleon himself held a progressive vision, exemplified by the Code Napoleon and his meritocratic reforms. In our Revolutionary Edition, we endeavor to capture this more controversial perspective of Napoleon.
